Will Thompson
Will Thompson (b. 1987, Nottingham, UK) lives and works in London. The artist’s practice, which spans painting to sculpture, investigates the ways in which identity and image are manipulated within the quotidian. Drawing on the complicated history of representation, he references the serial conditioning of aesthetics and the repetition of industry within intimately-sized portraits and heavily symbolic sculptures. Thompson aims to expose the blunt reality of human complexity beneath the shiny glory of capitalism and contemporary depictions of identity.
